ANNUAL BLOG!

It's time again for our once a year blog update! we are horrible at blogging :( since the last update our puppy has become less of a puppy and more of a 50lb tornado of teeth and energy. Also we have once again moved! we said goodbye to apartment living and now we reside in 2 bed room one bath house complete with a yard for the DogS, yes S we have also upgraded to 2 dogs. Mackie who is the boxer pit bull mix puppy that we got around this time last year, and his new best friend whos name was previously Churchill, but we think he could do with something a little better, he is a 3 year old American Bulldog who is double Mackies weight and half as energetic, needless to say we love him.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! We are pretty excited, Parents Duff and Sibling Duff are coming to our house for the feast, this is a first for either of us, but we are excited. no pressure. it will be a good day. hopefully some delicious food, some good company and some good entertainment(NBC thursday, best day of the week!). mayeb we will get a little crazy and break out a board game, who knows? and of course the macys day parade...
Annie has moved up career wise, she no longer works at Ben and Jerrys (actually only day a week), she is now a counselor at a girls group home. she loves her job, it seems like she can make a difference with the girls she works with so that has to be rewarding in itself. i think thats all i have for now maybe we can move up to make quarterly updates who knows?

Another day, another blog

Because of my inability to remember usernames and passwords for anything, ranging from email and credit card accounts to blogs, I've had to start a new blog. My previous shared blog, called immigrant style, was about living like an immigrant. Not in the no green card, no bank account, unable to use a microwave kind of way, but in the living in a 2 bedroom apartment with 4 people, a multitude of small mammals and rodents, and having no heat kind of way. Since then, Flza and I have upgraded several times, from being described as "gypsies", to living in a somewhat normal way. Our last apartment had heat and fewer animals, but was kind of small and wierd, but our new place is a major upgrade. The fancy pants new place is pretty cheap, but only because it is in what some would describe as "a bad neighborhood". So far it doesn't seem so bad, but on my daily walks with my new puppy I have encountered:

• A mexican man taking a siesta in a pickup truck, while blasting Mexican restaurant style music so loud it could be heard 2 blocks away
• A hobo who sits on a milk crate and listens to the radio, which can also be heard 2 blocks away
• A pack of wild 3-legged dogs roaming the streets
• The house from Texas Chainsaw Massacre
• A pile of human feces next to an empty gin bottle

At least I can rest assured that I'll always be protected by my vicious new attack dog.
